Logistics Service Manager

Export NVOCC

Job Summary:

The position has primary responsibility for all facets of export operations. This includes but is not limited to customer quotation, booking, shipper coordination, documentation handling and submission, carrier selection and space arrangement, land based transportation, system input, destination agent communication, shipment file profitability management, tariff filing and client billing. In addition the position is expected to deliver best in class customer service support.

Essential Functions:

• Develops effective pricing through aggressive negotiations with vendors based on shipment requirements.
• Manages complete origin shipment process
• Develops a good working relationship with TNI customers
• Responsible for file profitability
• Works closely with overseas TNI agent community to insure successful shipment outcomes

Secondary Functions:

• Maintains shipment files in orderly fashion
• Insures customer information in shipping system is kept current
• Provides senior management with key metrics on shipment specifics when required
• Conducts ongoing customer contact necessary to encourage additional business

Reports To:

• Vice President, Operations

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of international transportation experience either with a carrier or freight forwarder
• Strong PC user skills in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
• Excellent customer service skills
