CASE STUDY
APEC Russia 2012 Summit
The APEC Russia 2012 summit will be the 20th annual meeting of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) leadership. It will be held on Russky Island, off the coast of Vladivostok.
Russia bid to host the event with the understanding that significant infrastructure improvements would be necessary. Construction projects include the building of multiple resorts, dinner and entertainment facilities, a new bridge and the renovation of Vladivostok International Airport. Ancillary projects include the construction of work camps to house the labor force and a transportation network suitable to support traffic to the enhanced attractions.
TNI's ability to source and handle cargo from anywhere in the world and successfully deliver it to the RFE - along with our status as an approved vendor for the Russian government - made us a natural fit for the project.
We are proud to be putting every facet of our logistics expertise to work supporting the massive preparations for this prestigious event. Our team is involved in the full spectrum, from fundamental tasks like building the work camps in Vostoichny to high profile projects like construction of the new Hyatt Hotel in Vladivostock. We're also part of plans for the airport, bridge and roads that will deliver staff and dignitaries to the event.
Everyone at TNI is proud to contribute to an important international event that will ultimately leave the region more stable and prosperous.
